While You’re in Town
We're so excited to welcome you to Santa Monica—our favorite pocket of the west side. Here’s a list of places and experiences we love, should you have time to explore between celebrations.
Good Coffee
Caffé Luxxe (Montana Avenue): A quiet, polished espresso bar with Italian charm and the best cappuccino in town. Their pastries and sandwiches are incredible too.
Goodboybob (7th & Broadway): Minimalist space, excellent espresso, and unexpectedly great food options.
Menotti’s Coffee Stop (Venice): A local favorite for craft coffee done right with a slightly surfy, vintage vibe.
Daytime Wandering
The Beach: A walk from the Santa Monica Pier down to Venice Boardwalk is classic, but even better—rent a bike and cruise the Marvin Braude path.
Tongva Park: Designed by James Corner (of High Line fame), this is a hidden gem of modern landscaping and city views.
Brentwood Country Mart: Old-school charm with curated shopping, ice cream from Sweet Rose, and chic people-watching.
Restaurants We Love
Giorgio Baldi: If you can snag a reservation, this tiny coastal Italian spot is where old-school LA still lives (and the sweet corn ravioli is worth the hype).
Nobu Malibu: Dramatic ocean views, impeccable sushi, and sunset glamour. Arrive early, stay late.
Élephante: Rooftop, ocean breeze, and a scene—but in a good way. Go early for sunset drinks.
If You Feel Like Venturing Out
The Getty Villa (Pacific Palisades): Ancient art in a Roman-style villa with ocean views. Peaceful and stunning.
Venice: For design lovers, spend an hour at Gjusta Goods, browse General Store, and pick up a cortado at Blue Bottle.
